My very first Bike

Pauline offered to drive us to the shop (@ Chinatown) where she bought her Jamis Trail X3 after work - http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/thebikes/hardtails/trailx/10_trailx3.html

So we agreed since the trip to the Cheap John @ Sembawang yesterday was not fruitful as it was closed. But we had sumptuous white bihun for dinner anyhow and great catch up.

After spending some 15mins loitering around the shop, the owner's son; Gilbert came up to us. I explained to him that I'm an amateur rider but is looking at a bike for regular road riding. He then suggested 3 models to us (1 of it is the model Pauline bought). T then pointed that we would preferred for a lighter weight bike as the passenger lift to every level @ T's block will not be ready till 1 year later. Therefore, we have to carry the bike down 2 storeys and up everytime we need to take the bike out.

Gilbert then proceed to introduce 2 models from Louis Garneau (mountain bike and road bike). The mountain bike has a thinner wheel for faster speed and is at merely 10kg (I think) but a bit over budget. So after spending another 30 mins looking at LGS-Six and trying it on... I made up my mind and bought it.

Why yellow you ask me? Because the lite green is not of a shade of green I fancy. The white will get dirty easily. Red is not my lucky color. And both T and Gilbert said Yellow is a very safe color to ride on the road as it's striking and the driver will spot me easily.

Proudly present ...
